<p>Ich freue mich wie ein kleines Kind. Nachdem ich in meinem letzten VLog die Performance von Lightroom auf meinem neuen iMac Pro beklagt hatte, bekam ich von drei Lesern einen sehr hilfreichen Tipp. Ich hatte ja schon festgestellt, dass die Probleme mit der hohen Auflösung der 5K-Displays zu tun hat und habe dann als Workaround die Auflösung mit Hilfe der kleinen App SwitchResX geändert. Aber das ist natürlich irgendwie nervig, wenn man ständig die Auflösung ändern muss. Das geht deutlich eleganter. Genau den Tipp kannte ich bisher nicht und muss daher ein fettes Dankeschön an die Tippgeber raushauen. Natürlich will ich das nicht für mich behalten. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass auch andere iMac-User ein ähnliches Problem haben. Jetzt rennt der iMac Pro wie Hulle.</p>

<p>Ein kurzer Tipp noch von mir, man braucht kein Switchres X. Wenn man mit „Alt“ in den Systemeinstellungen für das Display auf „Skaliert“ klickt, bekommt man eine Auswahl von Auflösungen und einen Haken für „Modi für niedrige Auflösung anzeigen“.</p>

<p>Freuen weil man Lightroom performant nur noch in niedriger Auflösung nutzen kann? Hmmm… Man kauft sich einen sauteuren Rechner mit 5K Auflösung, damit man die Fotos in hoher Auflösung bearbeiten kann und muss dann ausgerechnet Lightroom mit „niedriger Auflösung“ starten? 🙁 Das Das wäre für mich mehr als nervig, auch wenn es dank des Tipps immerhin wieder flüssig läuft. Aber unscharfe Schriften? Wofür hat man da so viel Geld für das 5K Display ausgegeben? Dennoch natürlich danke für den Tipp! Ich hoffe, Adobe bessert hier noch nach, so dass die Community nicht Probleme lösen muss, die nicht sein müssten!</p>

<p>Ich habe das MBP mit sogar zwei 5Ks. Das Problem ist da auch. Es ist mit den letzten Updates von LR aber schon besser geworden. Es gab Zeiten, da brauchte es 5+ Sekunden, bis ein Bild angezeigt wurde im Entwickelnmodul.</p>

eine generelle Frage zum iMac:<br />

Wie kommst Du persönlich mit dem Glossy Display zu Rande?<br />

Ich fotografiere nebenberuflich (Hochzeiten & Events) und verbringe somit einige Zeit am Rechner (Lightroom only). Auch was die Farbtreue des Displays angeht, so soll der iMac nicht gerade die erste Wahl sein (recht „knallig“ / suboptimal für Druck). Kannst du mal so als Profi-Fotograf Deine persönlichen Erfahrungen mit uns teilen? Ich würde mir gerne einen zulegen. Aber derzeit empfiehlt man mir eher einen „anständigen“ Hardware kalibrierten Monitor angebunden an MacBook Pro (Notebook brauche ich aber nicht) oder MacMini (Grafikchip nicht sonderlich gut). Ich arbeite ausschliesslich mit Lightroom, Photoshop fast gar nichts und Video auch nicht. Noch nicht 🙂</p>
