, sorgt bei den etablierten Autobauern offenbar für Unbehagen. VW-Chef Herbert Diess (Bild) hatte sich bereits vor einigen Tagen <a href="https://auto.oe24.at/thema/deutsches-tesla-werk-sorgt-bei-vw-fuer-panik/495304536" target="_self">äußerst besorgt gezeigt</a>

. Und nun legte der Boss des größten europäischen Autobauers noch einmal nach. Neben der Bekräftigung seiner Strategie gab es Warnungen, die man noch aus keinem Mund eines VW-Chefs hörte.</p>
|
|||
|
|
<p>

|||
|
|
Diess will den Stammsitz Wolfsburg zu einem zentralen Motor für den Konzernumbau machen. Vor mehreren Zehntausend Zuhörern bekräftigte er in einer Betriebsversammlung die Ziele zum elektrisch und autonom fahrenden Modell <a href="https://auto.oe24.at/news/vw-kuendigt-wunder-elektroauto-trinity-an-laden-so-schnell-wie-tanken/468221635" target="_self">Trinity</a>
|
|||
|
|
, das voraussichtlich 2026 starten soll. "Gerade Wolfsburg ist wichtig für den Konzern, muss die Speerspitze sein", betonte der VW-Boss seinem Redetext zufolge.</p>
|
|||

|
Warnung vor Tesla und "Golf aus China" </h2>
|
|||
|
|
<p>
|
|||
|
|
Diess verwies aber auch darauf, dass die Konkurrenz genau im Blick behalten werden müsse: "<em>Der nächste Golf darf kein Tesla sein! Der nächste Golf darf nicht aus China kommen!</em>" Damit wollte er wohl klarmachen, dass die etablierten Autobauer aufpassen müssen, nicht von den deutlich jüngeren Konkurrenten überholt zu werden. Neben dem US-Elektropionier und dessen Gegner <a href="https://auto.oe24.at/news/lucid-air-startet-wunder-elektroauto-aus-mit-ueber-830-km-reichweite/494064984" target="_self">Lucid</a>
|
|||
|
|
drängen auch immer mehr chinesische Autobauer mit Start-up-Charakter in Richtung Europa. Diese bieten ihre Modelle zu Kampfpreisen an. <a href="https://auto.oe24.at/news/1-000-km-reichweite-wunder-e-auto-nio-et7-kommt-nach-europa/476576092" target="_self">Nio glänz wiederum mit außergewöhnlichen Reichweiten</a>

. Zudem steigen große IT-Firmen wie der iPhone-Fertiger Foxconn ( <a href="https://auto.oe24.at/neuvorstellung/foxconn-greift-mit-elektro-suv-und-limousine-an-model-e-und-model-c/495944313" target="_self">mit der Marke Foxtron</a>

) oder der Smartphone-Sezialist Xiaomi ins Geschäft mit Elektroautos ein.</p>

Langfristiger Stellenabbau </h2>
|
|||
|
|
<p>
|
|||
|
|
Auf Sorgen vor einem weiteren Arbeitsplatzabbau ging Diess ein - griff die drastische Zahl von bis zu 30.000, die er zur Irritation vieler Beschäftigter zuletzt ins Spiel gebracht hatte, aber nicht auf. "<em>Ich möchte, dass Ihre Kinder und Enkelkinder auch 2030 noch einen sicheren Job hier bei uns in Wolfsburg haben können</em>", sagte er. Aber: "<em>Die heute bestehenden Jobs werden innerhalb der nächsten 10 bis 15 Jahren sicher weniger - vor allem in der Verwaltung auf Konzernebene, aber auch in der Produktion und in der Entwicklung</em>." Gleichzeitig komme neue und andere Arbeit hinzu.</p>

|
|
Betriebsratschefin und Aufsichtsrätin Daniela Cavallo hatte Diess' internes Vorgehen und auch seinen öffentlichen Umgang mit denkbaren neuen Sparzielen scharf kritisiert. Der Vorstandschef räumte ein: "<em>Wir müssen miteinander reden</em>." Er stellte zu den Zukunftschancen von Volkswagen speziell in Niedersachsen jedoch auch klar: "<em>Nicht Herbert Diess oder Daniela Cavallo entscheiden darüber. Die Kunden entscheiden</em>."</p>

|
|
Diess hatte seine Teilnahme an der Informationsveranstaltung zunächst abgesagt, nach Intervention Cavallos dann aber doch eine stattdessen geplante Reise zu US-Investoren verschoben. "<em>Nur gemeinsam machen wir Volkswagen zukunftssicher</em>", meinte er. Dafür müsse man den Konzern "<em>rechtzeitig zum Umsteuern bewegen</em>". Mit Blick auf den Konkurrenten Tesla, der kurz vor dem Start seines neues Werks in Grünheide bei Berlin steht, heiße das: "<em>Wir dürfen uns unseren Standort, unsere Konzernzentrale, nicht von Tesla kaputtmachen lassen!</em>"</p>

Stammsitz Wolfsburg als Aushängeschild</h2>

<p>

|||
|
|
Aus Sicht von Diess hat die VW-Zentrale gute Chancen, "<em>wieder zum Aushängeschild für Auto-Produktion</em>" zu werden. Doch dazu müsse das Projekt Trinity unbedingt ein Erfolg werden. Für E-Autos wird insgesamt deutlich weniger klassische Arbeitskraft gebraucht, dafür sind viele neue Kompetenzen nötig. Diess: "<em>Wir planen schnellere Produktionszeiten und effizientere Formen der Zusammenarbeit</em>."<br /> </p>
