Bei Aldi Nord wie Süd war er schon häufiger für 149 Euro im Angebot – und binnen Minuten ausverkauft. Der Preis ist eine Kampfansage, denn das Vorbild für das Aldi-Produkt, der „Beefer“, kostet etwa das Fünffache. Der Beef Maker kommt auf eine Temperatur von 800 Grad und zaubert im Test das perfekte Steak, innen medium und saftig, außen knusprig und mit reichlich Röstaroma. Die Verarbeitung ist solide, die Ausstattung inklusive Pizzastein sehr üppig und selbst Grill-Anfänger können bei der Bedienung nicht viel falsch machen. Beef Maker: Technische Daten und Lieferumfang

</h2><div class="cf-t"><p class="TestReport__TextBlock">Das Besondere an dem Beef Maker ist, dass die Hitze von oben kommt. Herzstück des Grills ist der Keramikbrenner, der sich auf der Oberseite befindet und die Hitze von dort nach unten strahlt. So kann auch logischerweise kein Fett auf das Brennelement tropfen. Während herkömmliche Grills maximal 400 Grad schaffen, kommt der Beef Maker auf eine Temperatur von bis zu 800 Grad. Bei dieser Hitze bekommt das Steak eine tolle Kruste und bleibt innen schön saftig und zart. <br><br>In der großen Beefer-Liefer-Kiste enthalten sind neben dem fertig montierten Beef Maker noch ein Grillrost, eine Fettauffangschale (spülmaschinenfest) sowie ein Pizzastein, den man sich bei anderen Grills häufig noch dazu kaufen muss. Beiliegen auch noch ein Druckminderer (max. 50 mbar) und ein Gasschlauch. Um den Beef Maker in Betrieb zu nehmen, fehlt also nur noch die Gasflasche, die man im Baumarkt bekommt. Der Einsatz ist ausschließlich im Freien erlaubt. Wichtige Tipps vor dem ersten Gebrauch

</h2><div class="cf-t"><p class="TestReport__TextBlock">Optisch macht der Beef Maker einen robusten Eindruck: Der 15 kg schwere Grill ist komplett aus Edelstahl gefertigt, die einzelnen Bauteile sind geschraubt und nicht genietet. Vor dem ersten Einsatz empfiehlt es sich, das Gerät innen und außen kurz zu reinigen, um eventuell vorhandene Produktionsrückstände zu entfernen. <br><br>Gestartet wird der Grill per Piezzo-Zündung. Dazu drückt man den Knopf und dreht ihn auf die Position „On“. In der Anleitung heißt es, dass der User den Knopf vor dem Drehen auf die Zündposition erstmal gut fünf Sekunden gedrückt halten soll, um Fehlzündungen zu vermeiden. Diesen Tipp sollten Sie unbedingt beachten! Wenn man zu schnell zünden möchte, geht der Grill nicht an. Der Keramikbrenner des Beef Makers verfügt über eine Leistung von 3,5 kW. Um auf die Betriebstemperatur von 800 Grad zu kommen, braucht der Oberhitzegrill zwischen drei und fünf Minuten.<br><br>Vor dem allerersten Gebrauch sollte der Grill außerdem zehn Minuten auf höchster Stufe „eingebrannt“ werden. Dann muss nur noch Wasser in die Auffangschale gefüllt werden und schon kann das Steak auf den Rost. Laut Herstellerangaben lässt sich durch individuelle Einstellmöglichkeiten aber auch problemlos anderes Fleisch, Fisch und Gemüse zubereiten. Beim Beef Maker passen drei Stücke Fleisch nebeneinander auf den Rost, beim Original-Beefer sind es maximal zwei.<br><br>Für unseren Praxis-Test (oben im Video) haben wir argentinisches Entrecôte ausgewählt. Denn für ein perfektes Steak gilt: Egal wie teuer und heiß ein Grill ist, ausschlaggebend ist, dass das Fleisch eine gute Qualität hat! Dazu wird der Beef Maker vorgeheizt, die Grillschublade mit dem Grillrost bleibt herausgezogen, damit das Grillrost sich nicht schon mit aufheizt. Das Fleisch schön mittig platzieren, Grillschublade einschieben und mit dem Hebel das Ganze ganz nach oben direkt unter den Brenner schieben.<br><br>Von beiden Seiten wird das Steak etwa anderthalb Minuten gebrutzelt. Danach fahren wir es über die Höhenverstellung zum Ruhen nach ganz unten und stellen den Regler auf halbe Power. Damit das Entrecôte schön medium gegart ist, braucht es eine Kerntemperatur von 55 Grad. Nach dem Brennen bei voller Hitze stecken wir also ein Fleischthermometer ins Fleisch, damit wir einen perfekten Garpunkt hinbekommen. Generell ist das Fleischergebnis immer am besten, wenn es nach dem scharfen Angrillen oder Anbraten langsam bei niedrigen Temperaturen gar wird. <br><br>Als die 55 Grad endlich erreicht sind, schneiden wir das Steak an – und voilà: Das Fleisch ist komplett medium, saftig und hat eine schöne dunkle Kruste.
