Im Stadtkessel gibt es zu viel Stau, Stress, Lärm, Feinstaub und Stickoxide. Deshalb wurde der Aktionsplan "Nachhaltig Mobil in Stuttgart" erarbeitet. In neun Handlungsfeldern wurden konkrete Maßnahmen für eine nachhaltige Mobilität priorisiert und konkrete Maßnahmen für eine nachhaltigere Mobilität entwickelt.<br />

<div class="col1"><p>Das Bohnenviertel entstand als erstes Wohnquartier im 15. Jahrhundert außerhalb der Stadtmauer. Hier siedelten sich vor allem Handwerker, Weinbauern, Kleinhändler und Pfandleiher an. Seinen Namen erhielt das Viertel wegen der Armut seiner Bewohner: Sie pflanzten in ihren Gärten Bohnen an und hängten diese später zum Trocknen an ihren Häusern auf. Die ältesten Gebäude im Bohnenviertel stammen aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Der Schellenturm von 1564 ist alles, was von der historischen Stadtmauer übrig blieb. Seinen Namen verdankt er den Metallfesseln, den sogenannten "Schellen", mit denen früher Sträflinge im Innern festgekettet waren.<br/>

Heute präsentiert sich das Bohnenviertel in liebevoll renoviertem Gewand. Die vielen kleinen Antiquitäten- und Trödelläden laden zu einer Reise in die Vergangenheit ein. Und in den gemütlichen Kneipen, Cafés und Weinstuben lässt es sich herrlich entspannen.</p></div><div class="col2">
